Haemaphysalis asiatica (Supino, 1897) This is an Oriental species found in tropical and subtropical forests from southern China through Lao PDR, peninsular Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam (as well as Borneo) (Hoogstraal and Trapido 1966a; Saito et al. 1971; Robbins et al. 1997). It is found in humid forests from sea level to 2,100 m.
