The ultrastructure of glomerular haematoxylin bodies
The Journal of Pathology, 1981AbstractThe ultrastructural features of haematoxylin bodies, present in a patient with active lupus glomerulonephritis, appear to include cellular elements, especially dense chromatin of probable neutrophil leucocyte origin and electro‐dense, immune complex‐like material.

The syntheses of brazilin and haematoxylin
Tetrahedron, 1970Abstract The synthesis of dl-brazilin and dl-haematoxylin have been achieved starting with O-trimethyl-deoxybrazilone (or its analogue in the haematoxylin series). The chief obstacle was overcome by taking advantage of the formation of brazilein from a phenolic pinacol obtained in stages from O-trimethyl-brazilane, which has already been synthesized.

Staining of gastrin cells with lead-Haematoxylin
The Histochemical Journal, 1975Fixation of fragments of human antral mucosa with Helly's fluid allows gastrin-containing cells to be identified by an immunofluorescence technique. Lead-Haematoxylin staining carried out on the same sections shows selective reactivity of the immunofluorescent cells.

Haematoxylin – the story of the blues
British Journal of Biomedical Science, 2018The farther back you can look, the farther forward you are likely to see [1].― Winston ChurchillHaematoxylin is arguably the most well known of all dyes used in pathology.

Natural dyes are employed for staining various histological tissues, which serve as a significant alternative source for synthetic dye, thereby reducing the burden of buying synthetic dyes and its impact on the environment. This study aimed to extract the black plum plant (syzigium cumin) using an aqueous solvent and investigate its staining properties

ChemInform Abstract: SYNTH. VON BRASILIN UND HAEMATOXYLIN
Chemischer Informationsdienst.

Combined haematoxylin, eosin and fluorescent stain for paraffin sections
Pathology, 1980Combined staining is achieved by adding Auramine O to 2 of the steps of the standard H & E staining procedure. Auramine O confers fluorescence to mucin, reticulin, elastin and protein aggregates without altering the H & E colouring pattern. The technique is designed as a substitute for some special stains.
