Fern Gametophytes Exhibit Distinct Patterns of Niche Expansion and Convergence in Ecophysiological Functioning

Some fern gametophytes can explore new habitats that differ from their sporophyte counterparts, and when they do this, they tend to follow specific axes of climate related to aridity (increased or decreased).
