On Jacobi and continuous Hahn polynomials
Jacobi polynomials are mapped onto the continuous Hahn polynomials by the Fourier transform and the orthogonality relations for the continuous Hahn polynomials then follow from the orthogonality relations for the Jacobi polynomials and the Parseval formula.

An addition theorem for someq-Hahn polynomials
Theq-Hahn polynomials appear as functions on the lattice of subspaces of a finite-dimensional vector space over a finite field. Irreducible representations of the related general linear group are restricted to a maximal parabolic subgroup, and a specific description of the resulting irreducible components leads to an addition formula.

An Orthogonal Polynomial Solution to the Confluent-Type Heun’s Differential Equation
In this work, we present both analytical and numerical solutions to a seven-parameter confluent Heun-type differential equation. This second-order linear differential equation features three singularities: two regular singularities and one irregular ...

Integral Representations of the Wilson Polynomials and the Continuous Dual Hahn Polynomials
Let \(\{p_n(x)\}_{n=0,1, \dots}\) denote the set of monic orthogonal polynomials, \(p_n(x)\) of degree \(n\), associated with the weight function \(w(x)\). Then it is straightforward to show \[ p_n(x)={1\over C} \int^\infty_{-\infty} dx_1w(x_1) \dots\int^\infty_{- \infty} dx_Nw(x_N) \prod^N_{l=1} (x-x_1) \prod_{1\leq ...

From sl_q(2) to a Parabosonic Hopf Algebra
A Hopf algebra with four generators among which an involution (reflection) operator, is introduced. The defining relations involve commutators and anticommutators. The discrete series representations are developed.

We consider the discretization method for solving three-dimensional variable-order (3D-VO) time-fractional partial differential equations. The proposed method is developed based on discrete shifted Hahn polynomials (DSHPs) and their operational matrices.
