Lightning electromagnetic emission location using arrival time differencing (LEELA): An introduction to the Met Office's next generation Very Low Frequency lightning location system

This paper describes the Met Office's new lightning location system LEELA. A brief overview of the upgraded hardware and geolocation algorithms is given. LEELA has improved lightning detection capabilities, especially at night. When comparing LEELA to the previous ATDnet system against ground truths LEELA has 100% storm detection efficiency within 5 km

Object‐based deep learning for probabilistic convective‐core nowcasting from satellite data

Convective cores detected from Meteosat infrared imagery are represented as compact physical objects to generate probabilistic nowcasts up to 6 h ahead. A spatio‐temporal transformer models interactions among evolving core populations and produces gridded probability forecasts across the western Sahel.

Protein Corona Engineering of Lipid Nanoparticles Enables Efficient Functional Gene Silencing in the Liver

By shaping the protein corona, lipid composition directs LNP tropism and enables the preferential delivery of a TIMP1‐targeting siRNA to liver macrophages. In a murine model of primary biliary cholangitis, this strategy promoted macrophage reprogramming and attenuated liver fibrosis.
