A Non‐Canonical Core Transcriptional Regulatory Circuit Orchestrates Chromatin Reprogramming to Drive Osimertinib Resistance in Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A non‐canonical core transcriptional regulatory circuit, composed of ID3, SMAD3, and NR2F2, drives Osimertinib resistance in non‐small cell lung cancer through super‐enhancer‐mediated activation of EPAS1, which couples neuroendocrine differentiation with ferroptosis evasion.

Hairdressers : hand eczema, hair dyes and hand protection

open access: yes, 2006
Hand eczema is a well-known problem in occupations that involve largely manual work, in combination with long periods of wet exposure and skin contact with chemicals. Hairdressing involves dermal exposure to a number of skin damaging substances.

Identification of Different Hair Dyes in Dyed Hair using Attenuated Total Reflectance (ATR FT-IR), Surface Enhancing Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) Techniques

open access: yes, 2023
This investigation compares the ability of Attenuated Total Reflection Fourier Transfer Infrared Spectroscopy (ATR FT-IR) and Surface Enhance Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) to identify and differentiate different hair dye brands on dyed hair samples.

Sodium Ascorbate‐Accelerated Gelling Hydrogels With Rapid Self‐Mineralized Capacity for Chronic Wounds

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An immunoregulatory hydrogel based on sodium ascorbate (SA)‐accelerated gelation and in situ self‐mineralization is prepared here. Such a hydrogel is constructed by mixing benzaldehyde‐ and cyanoacetate‐functionalized dextran with silver nitrate (AgNO3) and SA, enabling the ultrafast solidification and in situ self‐mineralization of silver ...

Epidemiological evidence on hair dyes and the risk of cancer in humans

open access: yes, 1995
Epidemiological data on occupational exposure and personal use of hair dyes was reviewed with specific focus on bladder cancer and lymphoid neoplasms. At least seven cohort and 11 case-control studies included data on occupational exposure to hair dyes ...

A Sprayable Nanoplatform Breaks the Vicious Cycle of Diabetic Wounds via Photoactivated Antioxidant and Drug Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A sprayable near‐infrared‐activated nanoplatform incorporating MXene, ZnHCF nanozyme, and deferoxamine efficiently breaks the vicious cycle of diabetic wounds. Upon irradiation, interfacial electron transfer and photothermal effects enhance multi‐enzyme activity, enabling explosive ROS elimination, alleviation of hypoxia, and controlled DFO release ...

Detection of trace levels of selected allergic chemicals in commercial hair dyes in local market of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

open access: yesResults in Chemistry
Hair dyes are now commonly used in Saudi Arabia, and other nations across the world, to cover up grey hairs and/or to modify the natural color of the hair. The principal ingredients of hair dyes are aromatic amines and phenols and which most likely cause

CCT2 Promotes Prostate Cancer Progression Through EIF3F‐Dependent Stabilization of FASN

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Prostate cancer (PCa) is increasingly recognized to be driven by dysregulated lipid metabolism. Although fatty acid synthase (FASN) is highly expressed in PCa, the mechanisms governing FASN protein stability and its functional integration into oncogenic lipid metabolism remain poorly defined.

DNA‐mimic for Specific Surface Functionalization of Zr‐MOFs for Bacterial Targeting

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We introduce phosphotyrosine‐modified PNA as a superior, single‐step post‐synthesis surface coating for PCN‐222. The DNA mimic allows for controlled post‐functionalization with single‐stranded DNA for the attachment of protein moieties for bacterial targeting. ABSTRACT Nanosized metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) are versatile platforms used in biomedical

Electrical‐Stimulation Hydrogel Electronic Skin for Sustainable Hybrid Biomechanical–Electromagnetic Energy Harvesting and Accelerating Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A hybrid biomechanical–electromagnetic energy‐harvesting e‐skin is developed using a gelatin‐based outer matrix with a zwitterionic conductive inner layer. The e‐skin autonomously generates stable electrical stimulation from daily body motion and ambient electronics, enabling significantly enhanced wound healing bothin vitro and in vivo.
