Active shim coils design for Halbach magnet based on inverse boundary element method

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance Letters, 2022
With advantages of small volume, high field strength, and compact stray field, the Halbach array magnet is of great potential in desktop NMR applications. However, field inhomogeneity poses a main obstacle to its applications.

Torque in nested Halbach cylinders [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1999
Permanent magnet variable flux sources are produced by rotating two nested N-segment, permanent magnet, Halbach cylinders. Torque is primarily an end effect, determined by field nonuniformities due to the finite length and segmented structure of the cylinders. Due to symmetry, one cylinder experiences zero torque in a uniform applied field.

An adjustable linear Halbach array [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2012
Abstract The linear Halbach array is a well-known planar magnetic structure capable, in the idealized case, of generating a one-sided magnetic field. We show that such a field can be created from an array of uniformly magnetized rods, and rotating these rods in an alternating fashion can smoothly transfer the resultant magnetic field through the ...

Performance of halbach magnetized brushless ac motors [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2003
In this paper, an anisotropic bonded NdFeB Halbach magnetised ring magnet, which is oriented in powder alignment system during injection moulding and subsequently impulse magnetised, is employed. The features of such a Halbach magnetised machine, in terms of the airgap field distribution, and the back-emf and cogging torque waveforms, etc.

Time and cost associated with utilization of services at mobile health clinics among pregnant women

open access: yesBMC Health Services Research, 2018
Background Antenatal care (ANC) is provided for free in Tanzania in all public health facilities. Yet surveys suggested that long distances to the facilities limit women from accessing these services.

BACH ARRAY LINEAR GENERATOR FOR WAVE ENERGY CONVERTERS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Engineering Research - Egypt, 2015
linear generators have been proposed as a proper power takeoff system for direct-drive wave energy conversion. Coupled directly to a reciprocating wave energy device, it was declared that linear generators could be a valuable replacement for hydraulic ...

Proposal and Challenge of Halbach Array Type Induction Coil for Cooktop Applications

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Industry Applications, 2021
This paper proposes a new induction heating (IH) coil using Halbach-arranged coils for cooktop. In general, a control inverter is placed on the back side of the coil, but by using the Halbach array coils, magnetic flux leakage to the back of the coil can
