Analysis of the Planar Magnetic Field of Linear Permanent Magnet Halbach Array

In this paper, the analytical solution to the planar magnetic field of a linear permanent magnet Halbach array is researched on. First, the magnetic field of a current surface is derived from the magnetic field produced by the molecular current of the permanent magnet.

Modeling and analysis of Halbach magnet array with pyramidal magnet in planar motor

In this paper, the changing of magnet shape in Halbach magnet array of planar motor is analyzed for the magnetic flux density. It is the rectangular magnets that are replaced by pyramidal magnets. The magnetic flux density of Halbach magnet array with rectangular magnets is derived by Fourier series and scalar potential.

The magnetic fields due to different planar Halbach permanent magnet (PM) array, including the 4 piece square array, stretched 8 piece square array and trapezoid array, are studied by analytic calculation method and FEM. On this basis, the magnetic forces over the magnet weight per array unit area are obtained.

Magnetic design consideration of a Magnetic Lead Screw with Halbach Array

This paper presents the novel design of a Magnetic Lead Screw (MLS) with magnetic thread of Halbach Arrays. The MLS where designed and build, tests indicated a stall force which where 12 % lower than calculated in 3D FE. This is explained by demagnetization of the magnet during stall, the behavior of the demagnetization has been studied and the results

The effect of the Halbach array on FSPM machine magnetic field

2015
This paper deals with improvement of behavior of the flux-switching permanent magnet machine through adding the Halbach array on the outer diameter of the stator. Different variants of Halbach arrays were modeled and compared. A comparison of obtained results shows an interesting way of flux-switching permanent magnet machine magnetic field shielding.
