Radial TRASE: 2D RF encoding through mechanical rotation and active digital decoupling. [PDF]

open access: yesMagn Reson Med
Abstract Purpose Two‐dimensional (2D) transmit array spatial encoding (TRASE) previously required four radiofrequency fields; however, interactions between transmit (Tx) array elements caused significant challenges for 2D imaging. Here, we present a low‐cost, 2D radial encoding scheme (Radial TRASE) using a simplified two‐coil array.

A Coaxial Magnetic Gear With Halbach Permanent-Magnet Arrays [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, 2010
This paper proposes a coaxial magnetic gear that offers higher torque density, lower cogging torque, and lower iron losses than its counterparts. The key is to newly employ a Halbach permanent-magnet (PM) array to constitute the PM poles in the inner rotor and a partial Halbach array (two segments per pole) for the outer rotor.

Magnetic field analysis of Primary Permanent Magnet Linear Motor Based on Halbach Distribution [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2020
The rail transit system driven by linear motor has outstanding advantages in climbing ability, traction performance, vibration and noise. However, with the increase of traffic travel and other situations, how to ensure that the linear motor still has a ...

Original optimization Procedures of Halbach Permanent Magnet Segmented Array [PDF]

open access: yes2019 19th International Symposium on Electromagnetic Fields in Mechatronics, Electrical and Electronic Engineering (ISEF), 2019
This paper presents a direct design and optimization procedures of an arbitrary PM Halbach Segmented Array. The direct design is based on the ideal PM Halbach definition. The arc width, magnitude and orientation of polarization of each segment are taken as optimization variables after calculation of PM thickness.

Open-Source Multinuclear Low-Field Preclinical MRI Scanner. [PDF]

open access: yesNMR Biomed
A step‐by‐step guideline for the construction of an open‐source multinuclear low‐field MRI scanner for preclinical studies is presented together with the first images acquired with the device. The scanner can detect 1H, 23Na, hyperpolarized 13C, and 15N signals at 66 mT. ABSTRACT Low‐field MRI (B0 ≤ 0.2 T) is emerging as a technology with the potential

The permanent magnet hypothesis: an intuitive approach to designing non-circular magnet arrays with high field homogeneity

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
Does the Halbach magnetization rotation rule that is used for designing circular magnet arrays for achieving the best homogeneity hold also for an elliptical or other non-circular cross-section?
