A magnetic equivalent circuit model (MECM) is proposed in this paper to analyse the flux modulation yokeless and segmented armature (FM‐YASA) machine rapidly, which is 423 times faster than three‐dimensional finite element and 2.9 times faster than two‐dimensional FE approximately.

An AFPM (YASA) machine for wind‐power use is analytically optimised for maximum torque by tuning the split ratio (inner‐to‐outer stator‐core diameter), under thermal constraints that account for both copper and iron losses, and the resulting trends are verified by 3‐D FEA and prototype tests. Under a copper‐loss‐dominated limit, the optimal split ratio

This article presents a comprehensive multi‐physics design and an analysis of a high‐speed radial flux permanent magnet synchronous coupler integrated with an electromagnetic disconnection system. The optimised design delivers 77.26 N.m of torque at 6000 rpm and explicitly addresses critical thermal effects to prevent demagnetisation.
