Thermoelectric Properties of NbCoSn-based Half-Heusler Alloys
2006 25th International Conference on Thermoelectrics, 2006Thermoelectric properties of doped half-Heuslers, NbCoSn1-x Sbx and Nb0.99Ti0.01CoSn1-x Sbx, have been studied in the temperature range from 320 K to 850 K. These half-Heuslers were synthesized by the arc-melting of pure metals followed by annealing for one week at 1123 K in vacuum.

A search for half metallicity in half Heusler alloys
Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2019Abstract The structural, electronic, mechanical, magnetic and thermodynamic properties of XFeBi (X = Hf and Ti) alloys using the density functional theory as implemented in quantum espresso code are investigated. Both alloys are observed to have ferromagnetic character and are also half-metallic with a small band gap in their spin up channel.

Mechanical and thermoelectric properties of FeVSb-based half-Heusler alloys
Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2021Abstract Half Heusler FeVSb-based compounds are recently identified as promising thermoelectric materials for medium to high temperature range. In this research article, thermoelectric properties of half Heusler FeV1−x-y-zHfxTiyNbzSb and FeVSb samples were studied over a temperature range from 300 to 800 K.

Half metallic ferromagnetism in Ni based half Heusler alloys
Computational Materials Science, 2018Abstract The search for emerging materials with ferromagnetic and spin flip properties has attracted widespread interest in material science. Ni based half Heusler alloys have been one of the benchmark half metallic ferromagnetic material owing to their magnetic interaction and promising figure of merit in magnetic memory element.

Thermoelectric properties of half-Heusler alloys Zr1−xYxNiSn1−ySby
Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2007Abstract Half-Heusler ZrNiSn alloys, where Zr or Sn site is substituted by Y or Sb, respectively, were synthesized and their thermoelectric properties were investigated. Such substitution much affects the thermoelectric properties of ZrNiSn by changing the valence electron count (VEC) of the material.

Synthesis and thermoelectric properties of half-Heusler alloy YNiBi
Journal of Applied Physics, 2015The half-Heusler (HH) alloy, YNiBi, was synthesized through a reaction between Bi and the intermediate YNi phase. The thermoelectric properties of HH YNiBi were measured most thoroughly. A moderate power factor of 13.3 μWcm−1K−2 was achieved at 485 K, and rather low lattice thermal conductivity was identified, consistent with the theoretical ...

Thermoelectric properties of ultra-low thermal conductivity half-Heusler alloy
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2016The half-Heusler alloy HfNiGe has been synthesized by arc melting from high purity elements followed by annealing at 1000 K for 6 days to homogenize completely. The X-ray diffraction pattern indicates the presence of mainly an orthorhombic phase with small amount of other binary phases.
