Evaluation of a novel EHR sidecar application to display RA clinical outcomes during clinic visits: results of a stepped‐wedge cluster randomized pragmatic trial

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective We developed a novel EHR sidecar application to visualize key rheumatoid arthritis (RA) outcomes, including disease activity, physical function, and pain, via a patient‐facing graphical interface designed for use during outpatient visits (“RA PRO dashboard”).

Oscillation of second-order Emden-Fowler neutral delay differential equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2018
In this article, we establish new oscillation criteria for the second-order Emden-Fowler neutral delay differential equation $$ \Big(r(t)|z'(t)|^{\alpha-1}z'(t)\Big)'+q(t)|x(\sigma(t))|^{\beta-1} x\big(\sigma(t)\big)=0, $$ where $z(t)=x(t)+p(t)x ...

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Oscillation criteria for half-linear second order differential equations

open access: yesHiroshima Mathematical Journal, 1995
Some oscillation criteria are given for the second order nonlinear differential equation \[ [\Phi(u'(t))]'+ c(t)\Phi(u(t))=0, \] where \(c(t)\) is a continuous function on \([0,\infty)\) and \(\Phi:\mathbb{R}\to\mathbb{R}\) is defined by \(\Phi(x)=|x|^{p-2}x\) with \(p>1\) a fixed real number.

Generalized Picone and Riccati inequalities for half-linear differential operators with arbitrary elliptic matrices

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2010
In the article, we extend the well-known Picone identity for half-linear partial differential equations to equations with anisotropic p-Laplacian.

Evaluation of the Potential of Laser Shock Peening Compared with Cold Expansion for Improving Fatigue Resistance of Riveted Lap Joints of Aerospace Grade 7175 Al Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates laser shock peening for enhancing fatigue performance of riveted aerospace aluminum joints. A comparative approach with cold expansion combines fatigue testing and synchrotron X‐ray methods. Integrating mechanical testing with residual stress and strain characterization provides insights into how different treatments affect the ...
