Mechanisms of Degradation in Li‐Ion Batteries Under Low Temperature Exposures
Low‐temperature exposures, or freeze‐thaw cycles, are observed to significantly accelerate the degradation of Li‐ion batteries. A combination of electrolyte phase separation and mechanochemical stress leads to reversible and irreversible performance losses.

Magneto-resistance in pristine and irradiated TaAs2
Here we report the single crystal synthesis, characterization and the systematic study of the magneto-transport and magnetization measurements up to a magnetic field of 14 T and down to 3 K from room temperature in the semimetal TaAs2.

In this work, we use direct ink writing (DIW) to 3D print Bi2Te3‐based materials and naturally induce hierarchical functional nanostructures, which reduced the lattice thermal conductivity by half, resulting in high zT of 0.87and 0.89 in p‐type and n‐type compounds, respectively, competitive with commercial materials.

Die Waage von Deventer (1528) als Handelshalle
The incorporation of functional details of a building in relation to the art-historical and architectural-historical approach may lead to surprisingly new insights. The 'Waag' (Weighhouse) in Deventer is a good example of this.

Disorder‐Broadened Topological Hall Phase and Anomalous Hall Scaling in FeGe
By systematically introducing defects into FeGe via ion‐beam modification, we demonstrate that disorder broadens the temperature regime over which the topological Hall effect ‐ a signature of skyrmions or other chiral textures — appears, while also increasing its magnitude.

Spin‐orbit torque controls the Néel vector of antiferromagnetic IrMn3, which selectively exchange‐couples with spins of Co only in the ferrimagnetic CoGd. This selective interfacial pinning induces the non‐collinear spiral spin configuration, leading to a non‐uniform distribution of local compensation temperature along the film thickness, and enabling ...

A microfluidic device with magnetic microposts was used to assess platelet mechanobiology. The oscillatory actuation of posts with embedded iron particles was dampened by the dynamic stiffening of the platelet‐rich plugs. This stiffening process increased with applied load, but inhibiting platelet activation (ASA) or myosin contractility (blebbistatin)

Magnetic doping of the topological insulator Bi2Te3 with erbium adatoms induces out‐of‐plane magnetism and breaks time‐reversal symmetry, opening a Dirac gap and driving a Fermi surface transition from hexagonal to star‐of‐David geometry. Microscopy, spectroscopy, and magnetic dichroism reveal atomically controlled magnetic interactions that tailor the
