Isospin in halo nuclei: Borromean halo, tango halo, and halo isomers
Physics of Atomic Nuclei, 2017It is shown that the wave functions for isobaric analog, double isobaric analog, configuration, and double configuration states may simultaneously have components corresponding to nn, np, and pp halos. The difference in the halo structure between the ground and excited states of a nucleus may lead to the formation of halo isomers.

Most renal adenocarcinomas (hypernephromas) are characterized histologically by a dense, avascular, fibrous capsule. This capsule is rare or nonexistent in other benign or malignant renal tumors. The capsule was identified as a thin radiolucent stripe surrounding parts of the tumor periphery in 30 renal angiograms performed on a group of 70 patients ...

A distinction is necessary between two concepts: the physical halo, forming a transition between the gas in the galactic disk and that in intergalactic space, and the radio halo, a spherical component (withR~ 15 kpc) in the distribution of non-thermal radio emission.

The halo nevus can be defined as a pigmented nevus with an obvious depigmented zone about it. Recent observations have indicated that these lesions will undergo self-involution. This article presents the variety of histopathologic pictures seen and demonstrates the gross clinical changes that can occur in the nevus (change in color, increase in size ...

The halo fixator may be used for the definitive treatment of cervical spine trauma, preoperative reduction in the patient with spinal deformity, and adjunctive postoperative stabilization following cervical spine surgery. Halo fixation decreases cervical motion by 30% to 96%.

In this article I analyze the halo of the moon in ancient Mesopotamian sources, underlying the relation on a symbolical plan with the bovine element and on the interpretative level with weather forecasting (parapegmata).
