Halogen bonding is commonly found with iodine-containing molecules, and it arises when Lewis bases interact with iodine’s σ-holes. Halogen bonding and σ-holes have been encountered in numerous monovalent and hypervalent iodine-containing compounds, and ...

The halogen bond has been widely used as an important supramolecular tool in various research areas. However, there are relatively few studies on halogen bonding related to molecular chirality. 3-(2-Halophenyl)quinazoline-4-thione derivatives have stable

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

This work discusses the use of blended channel materials in OECTs. It explores how mixing glycolated and alkoxylated polymers in various ratios offers a simpler and more efficient route to tuning OECT properties. The performance of the polymer blends is compared to the corresponding copolymers, demonstrating similar OECT characteristics, swelling ...

Atomic Size Misfit for Electrocatalytic Small Molecule Activation
This review explores the application and mechanisms of atomic size misfit in catalysis for small molecule activation, focusing on how structural defects and electronic properties can effectively lower the energy barriers of chemical bonds in molecules like H2O, CO2, and N2.

Enhanced enantioselectivity in halogen-bonding catalysis
Chiral halogen-bonding catalysts have emerged as a new approach towards asymmetric catalysis, but enantioselectivities have thus far remained low. Now, fine-tuning the substrate–catalyst halogen–halogen interactions is shown to significantly enhance ...
