A Basis for the Antagonistic Effect of 2,4-D on Haloxyfop-Methyl Toxicity to Johnsongrass (Sorghum halepense)

Weed Science, 1990
Haloxyfop-methyl toxicity to johnsongrass was reduced when sprayed in combination with 2,4-D in greenhouse studies. The antagonism was not seen when 2,4-D application followed haloxyfop-methyl treatment by 72 h or preceded it by 24 h. The antagonism of haloxyfopmethyl activity was evident regardless of chemical form of 2,4-D used (DMA, BOE ester, IPA ...

Soybean weed control by chloramben granules coated with haloxyfop‐methyl

Weed Research, 1985
SummaryExperimental granules were made from moistened calcareous loess (pH 8·5) containing 2% w/w gum xanthan and chloramben sodium salt at w/w concentrations of 0·4–3·6%. Haloxyfopmethyl* (DOWCO‐453 ME) {Methyl 2‐(4‐((3‐chloro‐5‐(trifluoromethyl)‐2‐pyridinyl)oxy)‐phenoxy)propanoate) was dissolved in tung oil at a range of concentrations and poured on ...

Herbicidal Efficacy of Haloxyfop-P-Methyl for Post-Emergence Grassy Weeds Control in Groundnut (Arachis Hypogaea L.)

Universal Library of Advances in Agriculture
A post emergence herbicide that will reduce labors demand and cost is the desire of crops farmer. This is because hand and hoe weeding is expensive, need more labors and due to scarcity of labors, particularly at the peak of the season.

Effect of Haloxyfop and Haloxyfop-Methyl on Elongation and Respiration of Corn (Zea mays) and Soybean (Glycine max) Roots

Weed Science, 1986
The effects of haloxyfop {2-[4-[[3-chloro-5(trifluoromethyl)-2-pyridinyl] oxy] phenoxy] propanoic acid} and haloxyfop-methyl on elongation and respiration of primary roots of corn [Zea maysL. ‘B37 X Oh43’] and soybean [Glycine max(L.) Merr. ‘Hodgson 78’] were examined. Intact roots of etiolated seedlings were exposed to both forms of the herbicide.
