Comparing Fitness Cost Associated with Haloxyfop-R Methyl Ester Resistance in Winter Wild Oat Biotypes [PDF]
: Consecutive application of herbicides has led to the evolution of herbicide-resistant weeds. This resistance is often associated with a fitness cost. Hence, a completely randomized design experiment with three replications was conducted to evaluate the

ABSTRACT This 3.5‐year grazed farmlet study investigated the impacts of regenerative agriculture and soil phosphorus (P) fertiliser on herbage dry matter (DM) yield and botanical composition in sheep‐grazed dryland pastures. Four treatments compared regenerative with conventional agriculture, under high and low P fertiliser, with Olsen P targets of 10 ...

Sustainable control of Dalbulus maidis: A field study with entomopathogenic fungi
Dalbulus maidis, a plant pathogen vector, poses a serious threat to maize production and food security. We investigated the potential synergistic effects between formulations based on entomopathogenic fungi and corn hybrids with varying resistance to maize stunt complex and Maize rayado fino virus. The combined management of M. anisopliae + B. bassiana

Development of cytosine and adenine base editors for maize precision breeding
A series of maize cytosine and adenine base editors was developed using various deaminase variants, enabling efficient multiplex genome editing in maize. Precise editing of the ZmACC1/2 genes generated herbicide‐tolerant maize germplasm, offering a solution for weed management in maize‐soybean intercropping systems.

Herbicide selectivity in alfalfa crops [PDF]
This study aimed to determine the selectivity of herbicides applied in pre- and post-emergence for alfalfa crops. Three separate experiments were carried out under greenhouse conditions. The first experiment was arranged in a completely randomized design

Biology, Ecology, Distribution and Management of Large Crabgrass (Digitaria sanguinalis)
ABSTRACT Digitaria sanguinalis (L.) Scop. (large crabgrass) is a globally distributed annual C4 grass and one of the most challenging weeds in agriculture, causing significant yield losses in crops such as maize, soyabean, rice, cotton and vegetables. This species thrives under favourable and unfavourable conditions such as disturbed soils, fluctuating
