Dual Impact of Long‐Lived Localized Carriers Induced by Restricted Hole Transfer in Organic Photovoltaics and Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This work clarifies why organic semiconductors perform differently in photovoltaic devices and photocatalytic nanoparticles. By examining D18:Y5 and PM6:Y6 systems, we show how aggregation, exciton lifetime, and interfacial charge transfer behavior govern energy‐conversion pathways.

Silicon‐Based Anodes for Sulfide Solid‐State Batteries: Failure Mechanisms and Multiscale Design Strategies

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Silicon anodes in sulfide SSBs face coupled electrochemo‐mechanical failure by interface instability. This review examined recent advances and proposed mitigation strategies via material‐, electrode/interface‐, and cell‐level‐ engineering. We further evaluate scalable synthesis of sulfide SEs.

A note on Hamming spheres

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 1985
The purpose of the paper is to prove in a more natural way three theorems, which were found by \textit{J. Körner} and \textit{V. K. Wei} [Discrete Math. 51, 147--165 (1984; Zbl 0547.05004)]. The first two theorems are concerned with subsets of \(\mathbb F^ n_ 2\), having inner distance \(\geq 2\) and attaining minimal boundary.

Staging an Experience of Cultural Heritage Preservation: Consumers' Willingness to Pay for Heirloom Rice in the Philippines

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The Cordillera Administrative Region in the Philippines is home to terraced rice embedded in centuries of cultural heritage. However, weak market incentives threaten sustained production, jeopardizing indigenous communities' cultural heritage and the in situ biodiversity of rice genetic resources.

Assessing the Impact of Promotions on Consumer Purchasing Behavior During Crises

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Understanding how households modify their food expenditure decisions during times of crisis is essential because consumer purchasing behavior frequently changes during these times. This study looks at these behavioral shifts during the COVID‐19 pandemic, concentrating on how price sensitivity and response to sales promotions changed over the ...

Structure and Spectroscopic Characterisation of Phenanthroline‐Based Iodobismuthate(III) Complexes Utilised for Raw Acoustic Signal Classification

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Memristors based on trimethylsulfonium (phenanthroline)tetraiodobismuthate have been utilised as a nonlinear node in a delayed feedback reservoir. This system allowed an efficient classification of acoustic signals, namely differentiation of vocalisation of the brushtail possum (Trichosurus vulpecula).

Ferritin Iron Mineralisation: Route of Fe3+ Transfer From the Ferroxidase Centre to the Inner Cavity of Human H‐Chain Ferritin

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Proposed mechanism for Fe3+ transport from the FoC (sites 1 and 2) of human H‐chain ferritin following oxidation of the di‐Fe2+ form. Glu61, aided by the flexibility of its sidechain, plays a key role in coordinating Fe3+ at three sites (3, 4 and 5) that mark out the transit route.
