This cross‐species study reveals that pathological hyperactivity of BNST neurons in depressive states disrupts inhibitory period and isolated spikes in the BNST‐NAc circuit. DBS achieves its antidepressant effects by precisely restoring network inhibitory periods and high‐fidelity signal transmission.

Among 148 older patients with Parkinson's disease, lower MoCA scores were independently associated with higher odds of sarcopenia, while higher HAMA scores were also associated with sarcopenia. Cognitive assessment may help screen for sarcopenia risk in this population. ABSTRACT Purpose This study aimed to investigate the association between sarcopenia

Hallmarks of brain aging regulated by microRNAs (miRNAs). This graphical abstract illustrates the central role of miRNAs in coordinating key biological processes associated with brain aging. miRNAs regulate multiple interconnected hallmarks, including genomic instability, telomere attrition, epigenetic alterations, loss of proteostasis and impaired ...

Phytoplankton and Temperature Control Seasonal Dynamics of Greenhouse Gases in a Large River
Abstract Rivers are a dynamic source of greenhouse gases (GHGs), yet the temporal variability and controlling mechanisms of their CO2:CH4:N2O ratios remain poorly constrained. We monitored the three GHGs in the German river Elbe over 5 years at two sites to identify seasonal controls as well as travel time related and site‐specific mechanisms driving ...
