Five cases of mammary hamartoma are described, with special reference to the radiographic features. Hamartomas are well circumscribed lesions composed of normal or dysplastic mammary tissue. They are probably more common than has been anticipated from the literature and are important because they may be confused with other well circumscribed tumors ...

Hypothalamic hamartoma is a rare tumor with onset of symptoms in infancy or early childhood. Clinical presentation includes precocious puberty, laughing spells, and seizures. Computed tomography of two cases of hypothalamic hamartomas revealed a mass lesion in the suprasellar--interpeduncular cisterns (with the density of) the surrounding normal brain.

A 73‐year‐old female with a calcified splenic mass received exploratory laparotomy and subsequent splenectomy. The histologic diagnosis of the splenic tumor was hamartoma associated with secondary cystic degeneration and calcification of the cyst wall. The tumor was composed of red pulp‐like and white pulp‐like areas.

AbstractA rare case of neuromuscular hamartoma, a benign tumor composed of well‐differentiated skeletal muscle and nerve fibers, is described and compared with four previously reported cases. The tumor arose in the major peripheral nerves. Three of the five tumors were congenital tumors. A biopsy is essential in establishing the diagnosis. However, the

We have reported a case of endobronchial hamartoma in a mainstem bronchus. Diagnosis of these rare lesions may be difficult when chronic pulmonary destruction has occurred; biopsy of the tumor may show cellular atypia due to inflammation. Although bronchoscopic removal or removal by bronchotomy or sleeve resection with preservation of the lung may be ...

Pulmonary hamartoma is a benign lung neoplasm and it comprises 6% of solitary pulmonary nodules. Two clinical types have been defined according to its location: intraparenchymal (90%) and endobronchial (10%). We report on a case of endobronchial hamartoma resected with electrocautery by a flexible bronchoscope (FB).
