Near‐Unity Selectivity Inversion Between CO2 Electroreduction and H2 Evolution via Atomic Coordination Editing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Atomic coordination editing functions as an on/off switch that toggles single‐atom catalysts between CO2 electroreduction and hydrogen evolution. ABSTRACT Precise atomic coordination editing of single‐atom catalysts (SACs) provides an effective strategy to tune their electronic structures and catalytic selectivity. Yet, achieving near‐unity selectivity

Nonlinear Response of Cantilever Beams to Combination and Subcombination Resonances

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 1998
The nonlinear planar response of cantilever metallic beams to combination parametric and external subcombination resonances is investigated, taking into account the effects of cubic geometric and inertia nonlinearities.

Physics‐Informed Neural Network‐Enabled Forward Prediction and Inverse Design of Ring Origami

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents a KRT‐PINN framework that integrates Kirchhoff rod theory with physics‐informed neural networks for the forward prediction and inverse design of ring origami consisting of closed‐loop rods. The framework predicts stable states of segmented rings with prescribed natural‐curvature profiles and determines the natural‐curvature profiles ...

Halide Perovskite: A Rich Source of Thermal Insulator

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Halide perovskites exhibit ultralow thermal conductivity driven by intrinsic lattice softness and strong anharmonicity, falling below conventional defect‐engineering limits. Weak metavalent bonding, A‐site rattling, and dynamic octahedral tilting drive phonon scattering to the Ioffe–Regel limit, where wave‐like tunneling replaces particle‐like ...

Some Further Remarks on Hamilton’s Principle [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mechanics, 2010
This paper deals with the inverse problem of finding a suitable integrand so that upon the use of the calculus of variations, one obtains the equations of motion for systems in which the forces are nonpotential. New extensions and generalizations of previous results are obtained.

Anisotropic Memristive Switching in NbOCl2 Enabled by Directional Oxygen Ion Migration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates strongly orientation‐dependent memristive switching in anisotropic NbOCl2, observed exclusively along the in‐plane c‐axis. The switching originates from direction‐selective oxygen‐ion migration and vacancy propagation that modulate the Pd/NbOCl2 Schottky barrier, enabling short‐term plasticity.

The Orbital Evolution of 2 Binary Asteroid Systems Based on Hamel’s Variational Integrators

open access: yesSpace: Science & Technology
In the full n-body problem, the mutual gravitational potential energy of the rigid body is determined by its position and attitude, which leads to the coupling of the translational and rotational motions.

Intrinsic Phonons as a Dynamic Control Knob for Catalytic Reactivity in 2D Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Intrinsic phonon excitations are demonstrated to serve as a dynamic control knob for catalytic reactivity in 2D materials. Mode‐selective lattice vibrations reconstruct the electronic structure, lower oxygen evolution reaction barriers, establishing a phonon‐engineering paradigm for dynamically regulating electrocatalysis beyond conventional static ...

Lie symmetry and conserved quantities for time-delayed fractional mechanical systems based on fractional factor

open access: yesJournal of Applied Science and Engineering
This paper develops a fractional factor to generalize Lie symmetry analysis to time-delayed fractional mechanical systems. Firstly, the fractional Hamilton’s principle are formulated incorporating non-potential forces and delayed coordinates.
