A Hamilton operator for quantum optics in gravitational fields
Physics Letters A, 1995Abstract Performing a relativistic approximation of the Klein-Gordon equation the interaction of matter with light in the presence of a gravitational field is treated. One main result is that the electric dipole coupling remains unchanged provided the electric field as well as the dipole are operationally defined by measured quantities.

Quaternions, Hamilton Operators, and Kinematics of Mechanical Systems
13th Design Automation Conference: Volume 2 — Robotics, Mechanisms, and Machine Systems, 1987Abstract In this paper, quaternions are briefly reviewed and their associated matrix algebra is developed. Two Hamilton operators are defined and some of their properties are studied. The properties of these operators are then applied to find kinematic relations of a body undergoing spatial rotation and to find a recursive relation for ...

The evolution operator solution of the Cauchy problem for the Hamilton-Jacobi equation
Israel Journal of Mathematics, 1977The theory of nonlinear evolution equations in a Banach space is used to prove the existence of global weak solutions of the Cauchy problem for the general time and space-dependent Hamilton-Jacobi equation.

Cayley-hamilton theorem, vector bundles and divisors of commuting operators
Integral Equations and Operator Theory, 1983We construct a complete system of unitary invariants for some classes of commuting operators which include finite matrices, integral and differential operators. These invariants closely connected with the theory of determinantal curves and related vector bundles.

[Hamilton's operation in Bland-White-Garland syndrome].
Kyobu geka. The Japanese journal of thoracic surgery, 1990A 14-year-old boy, who had been treated medically for mitral regurgitation, underwent cardiac catheterization which revealed not only mitral regurgitation but also anomalous origin of the left coronary artery from the pulmonary artery. Thus he was diagnosed as Bland-White-Garland syndrome which was repaired by Hamilton's operation.

Quantum mechanical momentum operators and Hamilton’s variational principle
American Journal of Physics, 1976The Euler–Lagrange equations in classical field theory are not covariant with respect to a transformation of independent variables. A modified covariant version of these equations is presented. The modification consists of replacing the partial derivative ∂/∂qi by the Hermitian quantum mechanical momentum operator pi conjugate to the coordinate qi ...
