Energy Conditions for Hamiltonian and Traceable Graphs
A graph is called Hamiltonian (resp. traceable) if the graph has a Hamiltonian cycle (resp. path), a cycle (resp. path) containing all the vertices of the graph. The energy of a graph is defined as the sum of the absolute values of the eigenvalues of the

Antithetic Magnetic and Shadow Hamiltonian Monte Carlo
Hamiltonian Monte Carlo is a Markov Chain Monte Carlo method that has been widely applied to numerous posterior inference problems within the machine learning literature. Markov Chain Monte Carlo estimators have higher variance than classical Monte Carlo

Port-Hamiltonian systems: an introductory survey [PDF]
The theory of port-Hamiltonian systems provides a framework for the geometric description of network models of physical systems. It turns out that port-based network models of physical systems immediately lend themselves to a Hamiltonian description ...

We study a diagonalizable Hamiltonian that is not at first hermitian. Requirement that a measurement shall not change one Hamiltonian eigenstate into another one with a different eigenvalue imposes that an inner product must be defined so as to make the ...

Hamiltonian formulation of general relativity and post-Newtonian dynamics of compact binaries
Hamiltonian formalisms provide powerful tools for the computation of approximate analytic solutions of the Einstein field equations. The post-Newtonian computations of the explicit analytic dynamics and motion of compact binaries are discussed within the

Hamiltonian paths and hamiltonian connectivity in graphs
AbstractLet G be a 2-connected graph with n vertices such that d(u)+d(v)+d(w)-|N(u)∩N(v)∩N(w)| ⩾n + 1 holds for any triple of independent vertices u, v and w. Then for any distinct vertices u and v such that {u, v} is not a cut vertex set of G, there is a hamiltonian path between u and v.

Universal quantum Hamiltonians [PDF]
Significance Quantum many-body systems exhibit a bewilderingly diverse range of behavior, which forms the central object of study in many areas of physics and beyond. Our work reveals that, in fact, the entire physics of every other quantum many-body system is replicated in certain simple, universal quantum spin-lattice models.

Engineering a Spin‐Orbit Bandgap in Graphene‐Tellurium Heterostructures
Tellurium intercalation in epitaxial graphene on Ir(111) enables the emergence of a spin–orbit‐induced bandgap with energy spin splitting. By combining STM, ARPES, spin‐resolved ARPES, and DFT, two structural phases are identified, both exhibiting tunable electronic doping.

High‐Entropy Magnetism of Murunskite
The study of murunskite (K2FeCu3S4) reveals that its magnetic and orbital order emerges in a simple I4/mmm crystal structure with complete disorder in the transition metal positions. Mixed‐valence Fe ions randomly occupy 1/4 of the tetrahedral sites, with the remaining 3/4 being filled by non‐magnetic Cu+ ions.

On the Curvature and Heat Flow on Hamiltonian Systems
We develop the differential geometric and geometric analytic studies of Hamiltonian systems. Key ingredients are the curvature operator, the weighted Laplacian, and the associated Riccati equation. We prove appropriate generalizations of the Bochner ...
