Spatially Encoded Polaritonic Ultra‐Strong Coupling in Gradient Metasurfaces with Epsilon‐Near‐Zero Modes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Dielectric dual gradient metasurfaces supporting quasi‐bound‐states‐in‐the‐continuum are leveraged to spatially encode both the spectral and coupling parameter space and demonstrate ultra‐strong coupling to an epsilon‐near‐zero mode in an ultra‐thin SiO2 layer. The platform achieves exceptional mode overlap, reaching a normalized coupling strength of η =

Symmetry breaking in Hamiltonian systems

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 1987
This paper is devoted to the question whether there exist T-periodic solutions of the Hamiltonian system \[ \dot p=-\frac{\partial H}{\partial q}+\epsilon h_ 1(t)\quad \dot q=\frac{\partial H}{\partial p}+\epsilon h_ 2(t), \] where \(\epsilon >0\) is small, \(h_ 1\) and \(h_ 2\) are T- periodic functions and the unperturbed system \((H_ 0)\) is ...

Spin and Charge Control of Topological End States in Chiral Graphene Nanoribbons on a 2D Ferromagnet

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Chiral graphene nanoribbons on a ferromagnetic gadolinium‐gold surface alloy display tunable spin and charge states at their termini. Atomic work function variations and exchange fields enabe transitions between singlet, doublet, and triplet configurations.

Self‐Cooling Molecular Spin Qudits

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A material made of [GdEr] molecular dimers can encode a qudit and perform as a magnetic refrigerant. Microwave resonant pulses coherently manipulate its 16 spin states, while direct demagnetization measurements cool the material and a device down to temperatures below 1 K.

An example in Hamiltonian dynamics

open access: yesCommunications in Analysis and Mechanics
We present an example of a three-degrees-of-freedom polynomial Hamilton function with a critical point characterized by indefinite quadratic part with a Morse index 2.

Non-hyperbolic P-Invariant Closed Characteristics on Partially Symmetric Compact Convex Hypersurfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Nonlinear Studies, 2018
Let n≥2{n\geq 2} be an integer, P=diag⁢(-In-κ,Iκ,-In-κ,Iκ){P=\mathrm{diag}(-I_{n-\kappa},I_{\kappa},-I_{n-\kappa},I_{\kappa})} for some integer κ∈[0,n]{\kappa\in[0,n]}, and let Σ⊂ℝ2⁢n{\Sigma\subset{\mathbb{R}}^{2n}} be a partially symmetric compact ...

Decoupling of Carrier Pathways in Au/Cu‐Zn3In2S6 Through Bulk Hole Trapping and Surface Hot Electron Accumulation Enhances Photocatalytic Hydrogen Peroxide Production

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We design and implement Au‐Cu co‐modified Zn3In2S6 catalyst with spatially decoupling charge carriers across bulk and surface sites, which effectively suppresses carrier recombination, drives surface hot electron accumulation and stabilizes intermediates for photocatalytic oxygen reduction. The optimized catalyst achieves an H2O2 evolution rate of 94.2

Hamiltonian systems on submanifolds

open access: yesAdvanced Studies in Pure Mathematics, 2018
A constraint submanifold in a symplectic space after P.A.M. Dirac is determined locally by geometric restriction of the symplectic form to the constraint. The natural symplectic invariant associated to this restriction is the space of Hamiltonian vector fields which uniquely restrict to the solvable Hamiltonian ones on a constraint. By investigation of
