A non-linear Oscillator with quasi-Harmonic behaviour: two- and $n$-dimensional Oscillators
A nonlinear two-dimensional system is studied by making use of both the Lagrangian and the Hamiltonian formalisms. The present model is obtained as a two-dimensional version of a one-dimensional oscillator previously studied at the classical and also at ...

Multi-band Eilenberger theory of superconductivity: Systematic low-energy projection
We propose the general multi-band quasiclassical Eilenberger theory of superconductivity to describe quasiparticle excitations in inhomogeneous systems.

Quantum computation of SU(2) lattice gauge theory with continuous variables
We present a quantum computational framework for pure SU(2) lattice gauge theory, using continuous variables instead of discrete qubits to represent the infinite-dimensional Hilbert space of the gauge fields.

Spread complexity for the planar limit of holography
Complexity is a fundamental characteristic of states within a quantum system. Its use is however mostly limited to bosonic systems, inhibiting its present applicability to supersymmetric theories.

Unfolding of nilpotent equilibria of degree 4 in Hamiltonian systems with 2 degrees of freedom
We consider Hamiltonian systems of two degrees of freedome having a nilpotent equilibrium point with only one eigenvector. We provide the universal unfolding of such equilibrium, provided a non-degeneracy condition holds. We show that the only co-dimension 1 bifurcations that happen in the unfolding are of two types: the normally hyperbolic or elliptic

Charge degrees in the quarter-filled checkerboard lattice
For a systematic study of charge degrees of freedom in lattices with geometric frustration, we consider spinless fermions on the checkerboard lattice with nearest-neighbor hopping $t$ and nearest-neighbor repulsion $V$ at quarter-filling.

Semiclassical form factor for spectral and matrix element fluctuations of multi-dimensional chaotic systems [PDF]
We present a semiclassical calculation of the generalized form factor which characterizes the fluctuations of matrix elements of the quantum operators in the eigenbasis of the Hamiltonian of a chaotic system.

A semiclassical Egorov theorem and quantum ergodicity for matrix valued operators
We study the semiclassical time evolution of observables given by matrix valued pseudodifferential operators and construct a decomposition of the Hilbert space $L^2(\rz^d)\otimes\kz^n$ into a finite number of almost invariant subspaces.

Holographic renormalization as a canonical transformation [PDF]
The gauge/string dualities have drawn attention to a class of variational problems on a boundary at infinity, which are not well defined unless a certain boundary term is added to the classical action. In the context of supergravity in asymptotically AdS
