The old town of Nablus has eight hammams equally distributed through the different districts. The hammams are characteristic facilities of ancient Arab towns, but their use is clearly declining and their obsolescence seems inevitable since the advent of bathrooms in homes.

Scanning Tunneling Spectroscopy on the novel superconductor CaC6

We present scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy of the newly discovered superconductor CaC$_6$. The tunneling conductance spectra, measured between 3 K and 15 K, show a clear superconducting gap in the quasiparticle density of states.

Investigating Bacillus amyloliquefaciens VFS2 for Vicia faba‐fusarium wilt biocontrol and plant growth promotion under osmotic stress

The osmoadapted B. amyloliquefaciens VFS2 showed strong antifungal activities against Vicia faba‐pathogenic fungi and produced significant amounts of cLPs isoforms, indole‐3‐acetic acid, and siderophores under osmotic stress. These properties were associated with a Vicia faba Fusarium‐wilt disease biocontrol under saline and water‐deficient conditions.
