An impact test hammer includes a cylindrical handle having opposite first and second end portions and a hollow interior, a sensor portion fixed to the first end portion of the handle, and a grip portion fixed to the second end portion of the handle. An elastic striking portion is fixed to an outer periphery of the sensor storage portion, and an impact ...

Bench Tests for Chipping Hammers
Russian Engineering Research, 2021The basic test systems for hand-held impact tools such as chipping hammers are reviewed. The subsequent discussion considers the possibility of developing bench tests for chipping hammers that better reproduce the manual process in terms of the hammer position with respect to the workpiece.

A Study on Hammering Test using Deep Learning
2020 IEEE 15th International Conference of System of Systems Engineering (SoSE), 2020Technical infrastructure such as bridges and tunnels are critical in economic activities, but in recent years, aging of them has progressed, and demand for checking the soundness of them is expanding. There are several technologies to inspect the aging process of the structures to find cracks on a wall or flacking inside of concrete.

Test stand for pneumatic hammers
Journal of Mining Science, 2007The impact energy damping stand is designed to test pneumatic hammers. The choice of material to be a damping material is reasoned. Deformation is established for the damping material under an impact impulse effect. The calculation method is proposed to evaluate the basic damper parameters for the stand.

Testing of SFRC by the Schmidt Rebound Hammer
MRS Proceedings, 1990AbstractThe rebound number, its relationship to fundamental frequency and correlations with compressive strength and erosion - abrasion resistance are discussed. Nine mix proportions were used. The w/c ratios were varied from 0.30 to 0.65. The volumetric percentage of hooked steel fibres was varied from 0.25 to 2.0 vol.% at the w/c of 0.30; at the ...

Tests of chipping hammers (formation of the bench technique)
Vestnik Mashinostroeniya, 2021An overview of the principal schemes and designs of test tools for hand-held impact machines, such as chipping hammers, is presented. The formation of a bench test method for chipping hammers is considered, which most objectively reproduces the operation of a hand-held machine from the position of its location relative to the object being processed ...

Impact hammer testing of a railway track
2017Non-destructive dynamic testing such as excitation techniques that use an instrumented hammer and mounted accelerometers has been previously employed for evaluation of structural condition of the track. This paper shows in-situ application of impact hammer testing on an inactive railway line.

Advancing the Rebound Hammer Method: A New Concrete Test Hammer
2011The concrete test hammer patented by Proceq’s Ernst O. Schmidt at the beginning of the 1950’s is without a doubt the most widely used NDT instrument worldwide for rapid assessment of the condition of a concrete structure. Despite this fact, the validity of the method remains a hotly debated topic amongst experts in the NDT field. This is largely due to
