A New Construction of Frequency-Hopping Sequences With Optimal Partial Hamming Correlation
IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2014Frequency-hopping sequences (FHSs) with favorable partial Hamming correlation properties have important applications in many synchronization and multiple-access systems. In this paper, lower bounds on the partial Hamming correlation of FHSs and FHS sets are proposed. They slightly improve the known bounds by Eun et al. and Zhou et al. A construction of

On the Average Hamming Correlation of Frequency-Hopping Sequence Sets with Low Hit Zone
2019 International Symposium on Networks, Computers and Communications (ISNCC), 2019In frequency-hopping sequence (FHS) design, the average Hamming correlation is an important performance indicator. In this paper, the average Hamming correlation of low-hit-zone (LHZ) FHS sets, which has not yet been reported previously, is studied. A lower bound on the average Hamming auto-correlation and the average Hamming cross-correlation of LHZ ...

Optimal frequency-hopping sequence sets under maximum aperiodic Hamming correlation
2015 Seventh International Workshop on Signal Design and its Applications in Communications (IWSDA), 2015In order to evaluate the goodness of frequency-hopping sequences, the maximum aperiodic Hamming correlation is used as an important measure. In this paper, based on generalized Gordon-Mills-Welch sequences (GGMW sequences) and generalized m-sequences (GM sequences), two classes of frequency-hopping sequence sets arc presented, which are optimal for ...

On Correlation Immune Boolean Functions With Minimum Hamming Weight Power of 2
IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2021The notion of correlation immune functions has been introduced by Siegenthaler (1984) in symmetric cryptography in the framework of stream ciphers. At the conference CRYPTO’91 by Camion et al., it has been pointed out that this notion existed in statistics and combinatorics.

Character recognition using correlation & hamming distance
2015 23nd Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2015In this paper, character recognition is carried out using template matching scheme using correlation. In our approach, in addition to correlation, the hamming distance was applied in the scenarios where the correlation fails. In this approach, text image is segmented into lines and then characters by basic pre-processing techniques.

On the Hamming correlation distribution of SFH signature sequence sets
1988 IEEE 5th International Symposium on Spread Spectrum Techniques and Applications - Proceedings. Spread Technology to Africa (Cat. No.98TH8333), 2002New results are given on the distribution of periodic Hamming correlation values for well-known slow frequency hopping (SFH) signature sequence sets obtained from cyclically permutable subsets of q-ary Reed-Solomon codes. We also give results on the average of partial Hamming correlation.
