Hand Gesture Recognition

International Journal for Research in Applied Science and Engineering Technology, 2023
Abstract: This work presents a computer-vision-based application for recognizing hand gestures. A live video feed is captured by a camera, and a still image is extracted from that feed with the aid of an interface. At least once per count hand gesture (one, two, three, four, and five), the system is trained.

Hand Gesture Analysis

2011
This chapter presents a thorough overview of automatic hand gesture analysis. We cover all aspects of hand gesture recognition from detection of the hand to modeling of gestures. Based on a general gesture analysis framework, we present and discuss each necessary building block that is required to design a complete system. The last section presents two

Hand Gesture Detection

2019 International Conference on Information Technologies (InfoTech), 2019
Almost all of today's portable computers have a built-in camera. However, these cameras are used by people only as display devices. Instead of the users make computer management and control in a limited physical space with contacting the computer, they want to move away from the computer screen at the time of presentation and communicate with the ...

Hand Gesture Controlled Robot

Advances in Intelligent Systems and Technologies, 2022
The work consists of the working model of hand Gesture controlled robot. A robot is the approach which deals with construction, design and operation. This procedure acts as a medium between the human and the robot through physical change such as tilting of the hand.

Lateralized Hand Gesture during Speech

Journal of Motor Behavior, 1980
A group of individuals conversing in natural dyads and a group of lecturers were observed for lateral hand movement patterns during speech. Right-handed individuals in both groups displayed a significant right hand bias for gesture movements but no lateral bias for self-touching movements.

Virtual Hand - Hand Gesture Recognition System

2007 5th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics, 2007
The goal of this project to create a hand gesture recognition application, which is useful in teaching hearing-impaired or deaf people. The hardware component of the system is a stereo camera, which made from two webcams. The hand detection based on a preprocess part, that is a HSV color conversation with an intensity based threshold filter, and a main
