A Training Gesture-Based-Scroll Visual Artificial Intelligence And Measuring Its Effectiveness Using Hidden-Markov Modeling Methods

open access: yesJournal of Information Systems and Informatics, 2020
In this article I discuss the method of hand gesture recognition as a visual motion detection based on artificial intelligence by training three main movements namely, scrolling up, scrolling down and stopping based on capturing the front camera image ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Gesture recognition for hearing impaired people using an ensemble of deep learning models with improving beluga whale optimization-based hyperparameter tuning

open access: yesScientific Reports
Sign language (SL) is the linguistics of speech and hearing-impaired individuals. The hand gesture is the primary model employed in SL by speech and hearing-challenged people to talk with themselves and ordinary persons.

Decreased cold‐sensing function of the transient receptor potential channel TRPM8 from tailed amphibians

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Despite frogs avoiding low temperatures, examination of four salamander species revealed that none avoided cold and all possessed cold tolerance. Functional analysis of TRPM8, a cold sensor, showed that all salamander TRPM8s had lost their cold sensitivity.

Virtual Mouse using Hand Gesture and Color Detection

open access: yesInternational Journal of Computer Applications, 2015
In today‟s technological era, many technologies are evolving day by day. One such promising concept is HumanMachine Interface. For example, in a wired mouse there is no provision to extend limit. In wireless mouse, one should have Bluetooth hardware installed in the computer and Bluetooth dongle attached.

Tracking and Classification of In-Air Hand Gesture Based on Thermal Guided Joint Filter

open access: yesSensors, 2017
The research on hand gestures has attracted many image processing-related studies, as it intuitively conveys the intention of a human as it pertains to motional meaning. Various sensors have been used to exploit the advantages of different modalities for

Tracking Motor Progression and Device‐Aided Therapy Eligibility in Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To characterise the progression of motor symptoms and identify eligibility for device‐aided therapies in Parkinson's disease, using both the 5‐2‐1 criteria and a refined clinical definition, while examining differences across genetic subgroups.

Remote Assessment of Ataxia Severity in SCA3 Across Multiple Centers and Time Points

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3) is a genetically defined ataxia. The Scale for Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) is a clinician‐reported outcome that measures ataxia severity at a single time point. In its standard application, SARA fails to capture short‐term fluctuations, limiting its sensitivity in trials.
