Wafer‐Scale Atomically‐Thin Gold: Transferable Platform for Flexible Optoelectronics, Thermal Management and Bio‐Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Combining template stripping with a graphene‐inspired transfer yields continuous, transferable gold films at 6‐inch wafer scale with thicknesses approaching the atomic limit. The atomically smooth, near‐bulk‐quality films offer above 86% transmittance and sub‐20 Ω/square sheet resistance, serving as a universal platform for flexible optoelectronics ...

Ultrasound diagnosis of dissecting thoracic aortic aneurysms: procedure with a handheld device and a video-illustrated case

open access: yes, 2021
Acute thoracic aortic dissection is an uncommon, although not rare, life-threatening condition. With protean signs and symptoms that often suggest more common cardiac or pulmonary conditions, it can be difficult to diagnose.

Interference of ATP‐Binding Cassette Transporter by Functional Nano‐Delivery System for High Efficiency Management of Insecticide‐Resistant Nilaparvata lugens

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A ZIF‐90 nanocarrier delivers dinotefuran and suppresses NlABCG3 and NlABCH1 in resistant Nilaparvata lugens. This system combines pH/ATP‐triggered release with enhanced foliar retention, improving efficacy while sparing honeybees and promoting rice growth, offering a promising resistance‐breaking strategy.

Handheld ultrasound to reduce requests for inappropriate echocardiogram (HURRIE) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
BACKGROUND: Handheld ultrasound could provide sufficient information to satisfy the clinical questions underlying 'rarely appropriate' echo requests, but there are limited data about its use as a gatekeeper to standard echocardiography.
