Multi‐omics and low‐input proteomics profiling reveals dynamic regulation driving pluripotency initiation in early mouse embryos

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Mouse pre‐implantation development involves a transition from totipotency to pluripotency. Integrating transcriptomics, epigenetic profiling, low‐input proteomics and functional assays, we show that eight‐cell embryos retain residual totipotency features, whereas cytoskeletal remodeling regulated by the ubiquitin‐proteasome system drives progression ...

Ground-based and in-flight simulator studies of low-speed handling characteristics of two supersonic cruise transport concepts [PDF]

open access: yes
Conventional and powered lift concepts for supersonic approach and landing tasks are considered. Results indicated that the transport concepts had unacceptable low-speed handling qualities with no augmentation, and that in order to achieve satisfactory ...

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Evaluation of glider handling qualities

open access: yes, 2015
This thesis was performed with the purpose of investigate what influence different control system characteristics have on pilots' perception of handling qualities. Two gliders were investigated and compared, the JS1 [1] and the ASH26 [2]. Both are high performance gliders with similar type of configuration and aerodynamic performance, but with slightly

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Analysis of flexible aircraft longitudinal dynamics and handling qualities. Volume 1: Analysis methods [PDF]

open access: yes
As aircraft become larger and lighter due to design requirements for increased payload and improved fuel efficiency, they will also become more flexible. For highly flexible vehicles, the handling qualities may not be accurately predicted by conventional

Applicability of mitotic figure counting by deep learning: a development and pan‐cancer validation study

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In this study, we developed a deep learning method for mitotic figure counting in H&E‐stained whole‐slide images and evaluated its prognostic impact in 13 external validation cohorts from seven different cancer types. Patients with more mitotic figures per mm2 had significantly worse patient outcome in all the studied cancer types except colorectal ...

Flight characteristics of the AD-1 oblique-wing research aircraft [PDF]

open access: yes
The AD-1 is a low-speed oblique-wing research airplane. This report reviews the vehicle's basic flight characteristics, including many aerodynamic, stability, and control effects that are unique to an oblique-wing configuration. These effects include the

Enhancing Oncological Care for India's Aging Population: Addressing the Complex Needs of Older Adults With Cancer

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Aging‐associated physiological and molecular alterations pose significant challenges in cancer management among India's elderly. Limited geriatric oncology expertise, financial constraints, and inadequate specialized care exacerbate disparities. Strategic expansion of insurance coverage, integration of palliative care, and infrastructural advancements ...
