CAnDE: Entity‐Based Relationship Exploration Using a Cards and Decks Metaphor
We present CAnDE, a visual analytics approach for exploring dynamically defined entities in digital criminal data. Inspired by evidence boards, CAnDE uses a cards and decks metaphor that maps complex concepts to familiar interactions, including rotating, flipping and stacking cards.

Abstract When studying French prices between 1938 and 1949, economists and historians face a paradox: whilst a vast black market shaped daily life, official indices recorded only state‐controlled prices. This article addresses the issue by introducing a new consumer price index that incorporates both official and black market prices.

Abstract According to a widespread assumption, Kant's logical account of concept formation starts with comparison, where the latter involves concepts. On this assumption, the formation of a concept presupposes other concepts, so that the argument is threatened either by circularity, regress, or break‐off.
