Single Line Drawing Generation via Semantics‐Driven Optimization

We present a method for automatically generating single‐line drawings in vector format, guided by a text prompt or an input image. Our approach leverages score distillation sampling to optimize the parameters of a uniform rational B‐spline (URBS) curve, ensuring that the drawing consists of a single continuous stroke by design.

The many prices of war and occupation: Black markets and the cost‐of‐living index in France, 1938–1949

Abstract When studying French prices between 1938 and 1949, economists and historians face a paradox: whilst a vast black market shaped daily life, official indices recorded only state‐controlled prices. This article addresses the issue by introducing a new consumer price index that incorporates both official and black market prices.

Kant's Solution to the Trilemma of Concept Formation

Abstract According to a widespread assumption, Kant's logical account of concept formation starts with comparison, where the latter involves concepts. On this assumption, the formation of a concept presupposes other concepts, so that the argument is threatened either by circularity, regress, or break‐off.
