Leadership and the Virtue of Humanity: Conceptual Clarity, Systematic Review, and Future Research Agenda

open access: yesJournal of Management Studies, Volume 63, Issue 6, Page 3780-3814, September 2026.

Refinements on higher order Weil–Oesterlé bounds via a Serre type argument

open access: yesBulletin of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 58, Issue 9, September 2026.
Abstract Weil's theorem gives the most standard bound on the maximum number of points Nq(g)$N_q(g)$ of a curve of genus g$g$ over a finite field Fq$\mathbb {F}_q$. This bound was improved by Ihara and Oesterlé for larger genus. A recent point of view allows one to recover these bounds by solving a sequence of semi‐definite programs, and the first two ...

A database for handwritten text recognition research

IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, 1994
An image database for handwritten text recognition research is described. Digital images of approximately 5000 city names, 5000 state names, 10000 ZIP Codes, and 50000 alphanumeric characters are included. Each image was scanned from mail in a working post office at 300 pixels/in in 8-bit gray scale on a high-quality flat bed digitizer.
