Quantification of Tryptophan and NAD+ Proton Magnetization Exchange With Water Using Downfield 1H MRS in the Human Brain at 7 T

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 95, Issue 3, Page 1336-1344, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of magnetization exchange on the measurement of tryptophan and NAD+ T1 relaxation times and to determine the magnetization exchange rates with a two‐spin system model using downfield 1H MRS spectroscopy at 7 T in human brain.

On the asymptotics of some large Hankel determinants generated by Fisher-Hartwig symbols defined on the real line

open access: yes, 2005
We investigate the asymptotics of the determinant of N by N Hankel matrices generated by Fisher-Hartwig symbols defined on the real line, as N becomes large. Such objects are natural analogues of Toeplitz determinants generated by Fisher-Hartwig symbols,

Estimates for Analytic Functions Connected with Hankel Determinant

open access: yesUkrainian Mathematical Journal, 2021
UDC 517.5 We give an upper bound of Hankel determinant of the first order for the classes of an analytic function. In addition, an evaluation with the Hankel determinant from below will be given for the second angular derivative of analytic function. For new inequalities, the results of Jack's lemma and Hankel determinant were used.

Tackling High Dimensionality in QSP: Guiding Model Order Reduction With Index Analysis

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, Volume 15, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) models offer a useful platform to integrate drug pharmacology with knowledge about biological mechanisms across multiple scales and data sources into a unified quantitative framework. This makes them invaluable to address many relevant questions in drug research and development.

Hankel determinant for a class of analytic functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Let $f$ be analutic in the unit disk $\mathbb D$ and normalized so that $f(z)=z+a_2z^2+a_3z^3+\cdots$. In this paper we give sharp bound of Hankel determinant of the second order for the class of analytic unctions satisfying \[ \left|\arg \left[\left ...

Hankel Determinant Calculus for the Thue-Morse and related sequences

open access: yes, 2014
The Hankel determinants of certain automatic sequences $f$ are evaluated, based on a calculation modulo a prime number. In most cases, the Hankel determinants of automatic sequences do not have any closed-form expressions; the traditional methods, such ...

Hankel determinants for some common lattice paths

open access: yesAdvances in Applied Mathematics, 2008
For a single value of $\ell$, let $f(n,\ell)$ denote the number of lattice paths that use the steps $(1,1)$, $(1,-1)$, and $(\ell,0)$, that run from $(0,0)$ to $(n,0)$, and that never run below the horizontal axis. Equivalently, $f(n,\ell)$ satisfies the quadratic functional equation $F(x) = \sum_{n\ge 0}f(n,\ell) x^n = 1+x^{\ell}F(x)+x^2F(x)^2.$ Let ...

Iron Overload Mediates the Differential Cell Fate of Astrocytes from Neurons and Its Regulatory Mechanisms in Ischemic Stroke

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 4, 19 January 2026.
Upon ischemia/reperfusion‐induced iron overload condition, neurons and astrocytes exhibit similar oxidative stress changes but opposite alterations in endogenous antioxidant defense mechanisms, leading to divergent ferroptotic outcomes. The iron deposition and neuronal loss are increased within the perilesional cortex of stroke patients ...

Generating Function Associated with the Determinant Formula for the Solutions of the Painleve' II Equation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
In this paper we consider a Hankel determinant formula for generic solutions of the Painleve' II equation. We show that the generating functions for the entries of the Hankel determinants are related to the asymptotic solution at infinity of the linear ...

A determinant characterization of moment sequences with finitely many mass-points

open access: yes, 2014
To a sequence (s_n)_{n\ge 0} of real numbers we associate the sequence of Hankel matrices \mathcal H_n=(s_{i+j}),0\le i,j \le n. We prove that if the corresponding sequence of Hankel determinants D_n=\det\mathcal H_n satisfy D_n>0 for ...
