Hankel determinant solution for elliptic sequence

open access: yesLinear Algebra and its Applications, 2015
We show that the Hankel determinants of a generalized Catalan sequence satisfy the equations of the elliptic sequence. As a consequence, the coordinates of the multiples of an arbitrary point on the elliptic curve are expressed by the Hankel determinants.

Identifying Out‐of‐Voxel Echoes in Edited MRS With Phase Cycle Inversion

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 95, Issue 4, Page 1921-1933, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose To identify the origin of out‐of‐voxel (OOV) signals based on the coherence transfer pathway (CTP) formalism using signal phase conferred by the acquisition phase cycling scheme. Knowing the CTP driving OOV artifacts enables optimization of crusher gradients to improve their suppression.

Third Hankel determinant for a subclass of convex functions associated with a domain bounded by an epicycloid

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications
In the current study, we investigate a subclass of convex functions, denoted by K n − 1 , L $\mathcal{K}_{n-1,\mathcal{L}}$ , associated with a domain bounded by an epicycloid with n − 1 $n-1$ cusps.

Generating Function Associated with the Determinant Formula for the Solutions of the Painleve' II Equation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
In this paper we consider a Hankel determinant formula for generic solutions of the Painleve' II equation. We show that the generating functions for the entries of the Hankel determinants are related to the asymptotic solution at infinity of the linear ...

The Hilbert series of N=1 SO(N_c) and Sp(N_c) SQCD, Painlev\'e VI and Integrable Systems

open access: yes, 2011
We present a novel approach for computing the Hilbert series of 4d N=1 supersymmetric QCD with SO(N_c) and Sp(N_c) gauge groups. It is shown that such Hilbert series can be recast in terms of determinants of Hankel matrices.

Fundamentals of Deep‐Subwavelength Near‐Field Imaging With Hyperbolic Polaritons

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 8, 24 April 2026.
Hyperbolic polaritons enable deep‐subwavelength near‐field imaging. This work reveals the intrinsic resolution limit of polaritonic imaging by linking it to the linewidth of hyperbolic polariton beams. A negative‐refraction‐based strategy is proposed to achieve scale fidelity under appropriate thickness configurations and to mitigate geometrical ...

On the asymptotics of some large Hankel determinants generated by Fisher-Hartwig symbols defined on the real line

open access: yes, 2005
We investigate the asymptotics of the determinant of N by N Hankel matrices generated by Fisher-Hartwig symbols defined on the real line, as N becomes large. Such objects are natural analogues of Toeplitz determinants generated by Fisher-Hartwig symbols,

Hankel Determinants of q-Stirling Numbers

open access: yesThe Electronic Journal of Combinatorics
In this paper, we consider the q-analogue of the Hankel determinants of the Bell numbers and give combinatorial proofs of these results. We show that the Hankel determinants of the q-Stirling numbers can be simplified to a determinant that is almost upper-triangular, and then construct sign-reversing involutions on certain sets of RG-words that

Non‐Markovian Exceptional Points in Waveguide Quantum Electrodynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 9, Issue 4, April 2026.
Non‐Markovian waveguide‐QED systems exhibit dynamical transitions governed by exceptional points arising from retardation and interference. Giant atoms and spatially separated emitters display oscillatory relaxation and real zeros in the excited‐state amplitude at critical delay times.

Measurement of Phase Velocity and Ellipticity of Multi‐Mode Surface Waves by Beamforming Multi‐Component Ambient Seismic Noise

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Solid Earth, Volume 131, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract Conventional beamforming of multi‐component ambient seismic noise typically utilizes only the vertical‐vertical (ZZ) component to extract Rayleigh wave dispersion curves or the transverse‐transverse (TT) component for Love waves. In this study, we extend weighted and modified beamforming to cross‐correlation functions between different ...
