Fiber Bragg Gratings with Micro‐Engineered Temperature Coefficients
Fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) are intrinsically responsive to temperature and strain simultaneously. In this research, low‐loss FBGs with micro‐engineered temperature coefficients are fabricated, utilizing refractive index liquid‐filled microchannels in the cladding.

Spin‐Orbit Photonics with Potato Starch Lenses
Native potato starch spherulites are introduced as volumetric optical elements that modulate both dynamic and geometric phases of light. These spherulites focus light and generate optical vortices via spin‐orbit interaction, functioning as polarization‐sensitive microlenses. Their unique radial anisotropy enables applications in vortex beam generation,

On the Determinant of a Certain Wiener-Hopf + Hankel Operator
We establish an asymptotic formula for determinants of truncated Wiener-Hopf+Hankel operators with symbol equal to the exponential of a constant times the characteristic function of an interval.

Abstract The German Research Foundation has established the priority program SPP 100+. Its subject is monitoring bridge structures in civil engineering. The data‐driven methods cluster deals with the use of measurements and their special global and local analysis methods, which complement each other in an overall multi‐scale concept in order to realize

A New Approach to k-Jacobsthal Lucas Sequences
In this study, 〖CS〗_(k,n) of S_(k,n) Catalan transformation of 𝑘−Jacobsthal-Lucas sequences is defined. S_(k,n) Catalan transformation of 𝑘−Jacobsthal-Lucas S_(k,n) sequences is obtained. In addition the transformation of CS_(k,n) is written as the ...

On the nuclear norm heuristic for a Hankel matrix completion problem [PDF]
This note addresses the question if and why the nuclear norm heuristic can recover an impulse response generated by a stable single-real-pole system, if elements of the upper-triangle of the associated Hankel matrix are given. Since the setting is deterministic, theories based on stochastic assumptions for low-rank matrix recovery do not apply in the ...

Space‐Time Smoothness and Parsimony in Covariance Functions
ABSTRACT This paper challenges the trade off between computational efficiency and statistical accuracy within the framework of Gaussian space‐time processes. Under such a framework, the space‐time dependence is completely specified through the space‐time covariance function.

Flow Memory Effect on Open‐Frame Remotely Operated Vehicle Motion
ABSTRACT The flow memory effect is a kind of viscous force caused by acceleration between continuous phases and underwater vehicles and the development of the boundary layer near the interfacial surface. This paper establishes a 6‐degrees‐of‐freedom unsteady equation of motion describing the flow memory effect on viscous hydrodynamic loads.

Accelerating 3D radial MPnRAGE using a self‐supervised deep factor model
ABSTRACT Purpose To develop a self‐supervised and memory‐efficient deep learning image reconstruction method for 4D non‐Cartesian MRI with high resolution and a large parametric dimension. Methods The deep factor model (DFM) represents a parametric series of 3D multicontrast images using a neural network conditioned by the inversion time using ...
