Pholeohedra overstreeti n. g., n. sp. (Digenea: Haploporidae) from Girella zebra (Kyphosidae) in South Australia

Systematic Parasitology, 1998
Pholeohedra overstreeti n. g., n. sp. (Digenea: Haploporidae) is described from Girella zebra (Kyphosidae) in South Australia. The new genus is compared with all genera of Haploporidae sensu lato (including Atractotrematidae, Megasolenidae and Waretrematidae) and has a unique bell-shaped concavity at its posterior end.

Haploporus mugilis sp. n. (Digenea: Haploporidae) from Valamugil engeli (Pisces: Mugilidae) in the Taiwan Straits, China [PDF]

open access: yesFolia Parasitologica, 2002
Haploporus mugilis sp. n. (Digenea: Haploporidae) was obtained from the intestine of kandas, Valamugil engeli (Bleeker) (Mugilidae, Perciformes) in the Taiwan Straits, China. It most closely resembles Haploporus spinosus Machida, 1996 from the intestine of Crenimugil crenilabis in Japanese and adjacent waters in the intestinal bifurcation posterior to ...

A Cercaria of the Trematode Family Haploporidae

The Journal of Parasitology, 1962
Cercaria caribbea LII is described and evidence presented that it is the larva of a haploporid, probably Hapladena varia. The cercaria develops in simple rediae in Zebina browniana and encysts in the open. It is biocellate, the tail is slender and unadorned, and the excretory system is stenostomate with a nonepithelial bladder and primary pores at the ...
