Leg autotomy in the harvestman Jussara sp. is primarily determined by leg identity rather than by the functional consequences of previous leg loss. Although sensory legs II are the most frequently autotomized, individuals do not avoid losing homologous legs or adopting an asymmetric gait.

The extracellular matrix plays a critical role in modulating cell behaviour in the central nervous system influencing neural cell morphology and growth. However, a better understanding of the impact of individual matrix proteins on both neurons and astrocytes is critical for advancing the development of matrix‐based neural repair strategies.

Transcriptomic profiling of subpopulations of mouse embryonic subplate neurons
To study gene expression in subpopulations of cortical subplate neurons (Lpar1‐EGFP‐positive and D1B‐positive SpN clusters), we applied gene expression profiling, including bulk microarray analysis, single‐cell RNA sequencing (scRNA‐seq), and Visium spatial transcriptomics, and identified both overlapping and unique gene expression signatures ...

Using high‐speed video, we quantify suction‐feeding variability in hybrids of Andrias japonicus × A. cf. davidianus. Body condition and attack geometry modulate prey kinematics, revealing a flexible suction mechanism with ecological and conservation implications. Abstract Hybridisation between Andrias japonicus and A. cf. davidianus lineages is a major
