Chiral Mode Transformer for Hard Surface Waveguides
29th European Microwave Conference, 1999, 1999Fields in axially balanced corrugated cylindrical waveguide, also called hard surface waveguide, which is filled with chiral medium are considered. The eigenfields inside the chiral hard surface waveguide are circularly polarised fields. In a nonchiral hard surface waveguide these eigenmodes are propagating with the same propagation factor.

Stackelberg model under hard-block mode in a codeshare problem
2016 12th International Conference on Natural Computation, Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery (ICNC-FSKD), 2016This paper studies a Stackelberg type bilevel programming model for a codeshare problem in a typical airline network. After model-building, the model is written into its KKT form and solved by using a penalty interior point algorithm. Finally, a medium-sized numerical example is given.

Single-mode selection for hard x-ray cavity resonance
Optics Letters, 2015Single-mode selection is realized for hard x-ray cavity resonance using a three-mirror crystal device. The developed device consists of two coupled Si Fabry-Perot resonators (FPRs) and uses (12 4 0) backward diffraction to reflect back and forth the incident 14.4388 keV x-ray beam.

Chiral hard-surface waveguide mode transformer
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2000Field propagation in cylindrical axially corrugated waveguide filled with chiral medium is considered in this paper. The depth of the corrugation is a quarter-wavelength, making a hard-surface (HS) boundary. These eigenfields inside the chiral HS waveguide are circularly polarized.

An adaptive resonant mode compensation for hard disk drives
The 8th IEEE International Workshop on Advanced Motion Control, 2004. AMC '04., 2004This paper is concerned with a mechanical resonant mode compensation problem for hard disk drives. Conventional notch filters must have deep and wide enough frequency characteristics in order to accommodate all possible resonant mode characteristics perturbation, which results in deterioration in positioning accuracy and residual vibration after ...

Influence of diffraction on hard-aperture Kerr-lens mode locking
Optics Letters, 1995It is demonstrated that with rigorous inclusion of diffraction on an intracavity hard aperture the values of the nonlinear differential loss coefficient Gamma (which characterizes the efficiency of Kerr-lens mode locking) are several times higher than in the commonly used simplified approach in which diffraction effects are neglected.
