Molecularly imprinted polymeric nanocarriers (nanoMIPs) offer robust, antibody‐mimetic platforms to overcome the blood‐brain barrier. The article surveys nanoMIP design and ligand‐directed surface engineering that harness receptor‐mediated transcytosis, and highlights therapeutic and diagnostic applications in neurodegeneration, brain tumors and ...

Protocol for encapsulating ticks to study tick hematophagy and tick-virus-host interactions
Summary: Hard ticks can acquire and transmit various pathogens during their multi-day blood feeding events. Here, we present a protocol for encapsulating ticks while they feed on mice. We describe steps for affixing tick capsules to mice, counting ticks,

Doehl et al. discovered an adaptive neuroimmune mechanism that induces itch in tick‐exposed guinea pigs, enabling rapid tick removal. This itch‐induced tick removal (IITR) is mediated by an adaptive cellular immune response and is independent of IgG, IgE, or TRPV1.

First detection of tacheng tick virus 2 in hard ticks from southeastern kazakhstan
We aim to detect the presence of Tacheng tick virus 2 (TcTV-2) in ticks of southeastern Kazakhstan. A total of 205 ticks were collected and separated into four species, namely Hyalomma scupense, Dermacentor marginatus, Hyalomma asiaticum and Hyalomma anatolicum.

An ultralight, multilayer anisotropic tactile sensor—an artificial Pacinian corpuscle—exhibits ultrahigh tangential sensitivity (1022 kPa−1) and spatiotemporal sensing. It discriminates static, sliding, and rolling contacts, detects incipient stick–slip via high‑frequency signatures, and enhances robotic touch (100%/98.18% accuracy for active/passive ...
