A Piezo‐Mimetic Ionic Hydrogel Harnessing Joint Motion for Cartilage Repair

A piezo‐mimetic ionic hydrogel converts mechanical deformation into bioactive ionic currents via stress‐induced asymmetric ion migration. Hierarchical Ordering Induced Ultrahigh Cryogenic Strength and Strain Hardening in a Ni2CoFeV Medium‐Entropy Alloy

A tri‐phase Ni2CoFeV medium‐entropy alloy with fcc, κ, and L12 phases achieves exceptional cryogenic strength‐ductility synergy at 77 K. It delivers a yield strength of 1.4 GPa, an ultimate tensile strength of 2.07 GPa and a tensile ductility of 28%.

Hierarchical Twin Networks Enable Exceptional Strength and Fracture Toughness in Titanium

A commercial‐purity titanium with hierarchical ultrafine twin structures delivers an exceptional combination of fracture toughness (KJIc) of 187 MPa·m1/2 and specific yield strength of 140 MPa·cm3·g−1, in which pre‐engineered high‐density twin boundaries stimulate massive and dislocations to blunt crack tip.
