Gut microbiota diversity is prognostic in metastatic hormone receptor‐positive breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this exploratory study, we investigated the relationship between the gut microbiota and outcome in patients with metastatic hormone receptor‐positive breast cancer, treated in a randomized clinical trial with chemotherapy alone or chemotherapy in combination with immune checkpoint blockade.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Phenomenological modeling of strain hardening, phase transformation and damage effects of trip-steels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In this study, the constitutive modeling of loading state dependent strain hardening and martensite evolution of high alloyed TRIP-steels are addressed, which are experimentally observed comparing uni-axial tension and compression test results ...

Production of trans-Neptunian binaries through chaos-assisted capture

open access: yes, 2007
The recent discovery of binary objects in the Kuiper-belt opens an invaluable window into past and present conditions in the trans-Neptunian part of the Solar System. For example, knowledge of how these objects formed can be used to impose constraints on

Plasma extrachromosomal circular DNA as a biomarker in EGFR‐targeted therapy of non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Detection of extrachromosomal circular DNA (eccDNA) in plasma samples from EGFR‐mutated non‐small cell lung cancer patients. Plasma was collected before and during treatment with the EGFR‐tyrosine kinase inhibitor osimertinib. Plasma eccDNA was detected in all cancer samples, and the presence of the EGFR gene on eccDNA serves as a potential biomarker ...

Experimental Research and Computer Simulation of Face Grind-hardening Technology

open access: yesStrojniški vestnik – Journal of Mechanical Engineering, 2013
By systematic experimental researches on technological parameters such as grinding ways and grinding parameters, influence laws of technological parameters on face grind-hardening surface hardness and hardened layer depth are obtained, which provides reference for choice of reasonable parameters in face grind-hardening processing.

CDK11 inhibition induces cytoplasmic p21WAF1 splice variant by p53 stabilisation and SF3B1 inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.

Signed-weight projection for robust in-sensor computing neural classifiers under amplitude-dependent noise and stuck-at faults

open access: yesDiscover Electronics
In-sensor computing (ISC) monolithically integrates photodetection and neural-network inference on the same focal plane, avoiding analog-to-digital conversion and off-chip data movement.
