Powers and Practices in Labor Standards Enforcement
ABSTRACT Wage theft remains a pervasive problem internationally and within the United States. In response, worker advocates have sought stronger laws to deter violations and promote compliance. Yet formal authority alone may be insufficient; labor departments often fail to use the full extent of their legal authority to conduct vigorous enforcement ...

ABSTRACT Although allyship has the potential to foster inclusivity and bring about social change, its consequences have received too little attention in the literature. In the current contribution, we aim to review the allyship literature by focusing on the consequences of (1) individual‐, (2) organizational‐, and (3) societal‐level allyship.

ABSTRACT Education for sustainable development (ESD) is increasingly recognized as a developmental imperative in a world facing ecological, social, and political challenges. While many approaches to ESD emphasize knowledge and competencies, emerging research suggests that sustainable action in youth requires the integration of cognitive, emotional, and

On Hardy-Poincaré Inequalities
We discuss simple and short proofs of identities that give the classical Poincaré and Hardy inequalities with sharp constants. These equalities directly imply characterization of nontrivial optimizers for the corresponding inequalities. Our proofs are independent of the polar coordinates in the integral and geometry of the domain.

ABSTRACT This paper focuses on state estimation for a fairly general class of systems, involving nonlinear functions and disturbances in both the process dynamics and output equations. A nonlinear observer that satisfies a H∞$$ {\boldsymbol{H}}_{\boldsymbol{\infty}} $$ disturbance attenuation constraint in addition to providing asymptotic stability in ...

Boundedness of the Hilbert Transform on Rearrangement Invariant Spaces
In this self-contained review, the aspects about the applications of decreasing rearrangement techniques to the analysis of pointwise estimates for the Hilbert transform are analyzed. We make a consistent revision of these techniques in the proof of the
