Perturbed Weighted Hardy Inequalities

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1999
The aim of the paper is to prove the inequality \[ \begin{aligned} &\Biggl(\int^T_0 \Biggl(\int^A_0 x^{-1-\beta-\varepsilon \gamma} \int^{x^{\beta}}_0 \int^{\beta^{\gamma}}_0 y^{\varepsilon} \rho (y, t + a) dy da dz \Biggr)^p dt\Biggr)^{1/p}\\ &\leq p \;(\gamma\varepsilon)^{-1} \Biggl(\int^{T+A^{\beta}}_0 \Biggl(\int^{A^{\gamma}}_0 \rho(y,\tau) dy ...

On Hardy's Inequality

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1999
The following result is proved: Let \(0< b_{n+1}\leq b_n\), \(B_n= \sum^n_{k= 1}b_k\), \(a_n\geq 0\), \(0< \sum^\infty_{n=1} b_na_n< \infty\). Then \[ \sum^\infty_{n= 1} b_{n+ 1}(a^{b_1}_1\cdots a^{b_n}_n)^{1/B_n}< e \sum^\infty_{n= 1} \Biggl[1- {b_n\over 2(B_n+ b_n)}\Biggr] b_na_n.

Some Hardy-Type Inequalities

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2000
In this paper, some new Hardy-type inequalities involving many functions are obtained. These on the one hand generalize and on the other hand improve some existing results by Isumi and Isumi, Levinson, and Pachpatte on this famous type of inequalities. (C) 2000 Academic Press. [References: 19]

Hardy’s inequality for averages

open access: yesThe Mathematical Gazette, 2023
The prolific output of G. H. Hardy included a number of inequalities, each known, in its own context, simply as ‘Hardy’s inequality’. Here we give an account of one of them, together with some applications and generalisations. It relates to averages.

Hardy inequalities

open access: yes, 2021
The main theme of this thesis is further scrutinizing classic Hardy inequalities and expanding the study on "Optimal Hardy Inequality for General Elliptic Operators with Improvement". We rediscovered explicit integral form of Hardy inequality with the main focus on its functional aspects, including density of Sobolev space.

On a Discrete Version of the Hardy–Littlewood–Polya Inequality Involving Multiple Parameters in the Whole Plane

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, by introducing multiple parameters, we establish a discrete version of the Hardy–Littlewood–Polya inequality in the whole plane. For the obtained inequality, we give the equivalent statements of the best possible constant factor linked to ...

A curl-free improvement of the Rellich–Hardy inequality with weight

open access: yesAdvanced Nonlinear Studies
We consider the sharpness of functional inequality which we call Rellich–Hardy inequality with power weight for curl-free vector fields on RN ${\mathbb{R}}^{N}$ .

An Improved Version of the Parameterized Hardy–Hilbert Inequality Involving Two Partial Sums

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, by employing the Euler–Maclaurin summation formula and real analysis techniques, an improved version of the parameterized Hardy–Hilbert inequality involving two partial sums is established.
