Geometric and harmonic analysis on homogeneous spaces and applications

Advances in Pure and Applied Mathematics, 2013
Lie group representation theory and harmonic analysis on Lie groups and on their homogeneous spaces have built up enormous stores of knowledge as a significant and indispensable area of mathematics since the end of the World War II when the research in these areas began.

Motions and pattern analysis: harmonic analysis on motion groups and their homogeneous spaces

IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, 1991
Fourier-like transforms that are defined on several groups of motions on the plane and on the plane itself (viewed as the homogeneous space of these motion groups) are presented. These transforms should have many applications in the area of pattern recognition, detection, and the representation of motions in pattern analysis.
