Determining the harmonic contributions of multiple harmonic sources using data clustering analysis
2015 International Symposium on Smart Electric Distribution Systems and Technologies (EDST), 2015A new method is proposed in this paper to determine the harmonic contributions of multiple harmonic sources with consideration of the fluctuation of the background harmonic voltage. Affinity propagation and k-means clustering are used for determining each cluster of the harmonic measurement data, and the harmonic contributions of multiple harmonic ...

A new method is proposed in this paper to determine the harmonic contributions of a customer at the point of common coupling. The method can quantify customer and utility responsibilities for limit violations caused by either harmonic source changes or harmonic impedance changes.

Harmonic beamforming: a new approach to removing the linear contribution from harmonic imaging
IEEE Symposium on Ultrasonics, 2003, 2004In this paper, a modification to the delays used in reception beamforming is introduced that allows one to sharply reduce the echoes centered at the fundamental frequency and to keep the echoes centered at the second harmonic, while preserving the focusing performances. Such a modification can be easily implemented in echographic equipments.

On harmonic state estimation and the evaluation of harmonic power contributions from sources
IEEE PES General Meeting, 2010A new approach to harmonic state estimation is proposed by firstly classifying the network nodes into four types. Classification of a particular node into one of the four types is based on the availability or otherwise of node voltage and nodal harmonic injection current measurement at the node.

The large-power rectifier system injects numerous harmonics into the public grid, which results in serious effects on the power quality at the point of common coupling (PCC). The two methods, (1) establishment of the accurate probabilistic model for the background harmonics and (2) assessment of the harmonic contribution, are beneficial for evaluating ...

Quantum path contribution to high-order harmonic spectra
Physical Review A, 2008Ultrashort pulses of uv and soft x-ray radiation with durations ranging from femtoseconds to attoseconds can be produced as high-order harmonics of the fundamental frequency of a laser beam focused into gas. Applications to fields such as spectroscopy and attosecond metrology require the control and characterization of spectral and spatial properties ...
