FPA Optimized Selective Harmonic Elimination in Symmetric–Asymmetric Reduced Switch Cascaded Multilevel Inverter

IEEE transactions on industry applications, 2020
Symmetrical and asymmetrical multilevel inverters (MLIs) have demonstrated its usefulness in a wide range of applications. This is accomplished due to the ongoing improvement by reducing the converter size and enhancement in the voltage quality.

Harmonic Elimination

International Journal of Electrical Engineering & Education, 1982
A review of the techniques presently available for the control of harmonic content in three-phase a.c.-d.c. convertors is presented. It includes increased pulse numbers, harmonic filters and harmonic injection. Recent trends and main problem areas encountered in filter design are given special consideration.

Harmonic elimination switching through modulation

2004 IEEE Workshop on Computers in Power Electronics, 2004. Proceedings., 2006
Harmonic elimination methods create discrete-valued switching control waveforms with explicit harmonic content. A major drawback is that these methods do not allow dynamic adjustment as frequencies and amplitudes change continuously. Harmonic elimination is constructed in a general manner here, leading to infinite numbers of solutions.

A Comprehensive Review of Solving Selective Harmonic Elimination Problem With Algebraic Algorithms

IEEE transactions on power electronics
Selective harmonic elimination pulsewidth modulation (SHEPWM) is an effective way to eliminate low-order harmonics in high-power applications. However, one of the biggest challenges of SHEPWM is to solve the selective harmonic elimination (SHE) equations,

General Mathematical Solution for Selective Harmonic Elimination

IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics, 2020
This article proposes a general mathematical solution for a selective harmonic elimination (SHE) technique. The proposed procedure is valid for both symmetrical and unsymmetrical multilevel inverter (MLI) inverter configurations with a wide range of ...

Selective Harmonic Elimination Technique Improvement for Cascaded H-Bridge Multilevel Converters Under DC Sources Uncertainty

IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics
The performance of multilevel converters (MLCs) is at the risk of uncertainty of dc sources. This issue has a more negative effect on three-phase cascaded H-bridge MLCs (CHB-MLCs) due to more isolated dc sources.

An overview on harmonic elimination

2015 IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation (ICMA), 2015
As the distributed network technology develops, so do the grid harmonic problems, which were mainly caused by extensive using of power electronic devices and nonlinear loads. As far as the harmonic elimination, the filter which had been used widely can improve power quality of the network effectively.

Unified Selective Harmonic Elimination Control for Four-Level Hybrid-Clamped Inverters

IEEE transactions on power electronics, 2020
A unified selective harmonic elimination (SHE) control for four-level hybrid-clamped (4L-HC) inverters is presented in this article. With this unified strategy, all four-level switching patterns and the corresponding switching angles can be obtained ...

Generalized Chudnovsky Algorithm for Real-Time PWM Selective Harmonic Elimination/Modulation: Two-Level VSI Example

IEEE transactions on power electronics, 2020
This article presents a novel approach to significantly reducing the mathematical complexity associated with the selective harmonic elimination (SHE), which allows for the real-time implementation of SHE with a reasonable utilization of the computational
