Quantitative perturbation theory by successive elimination of harmonics

Celestial Mechanics & Dynamical Astronomy, 1993
This paper establishes the theoretical basis for the method presented by the first author [see the previous review, ibid., 101-130 (1993)]. Two theorems are proved. The first one proves the ``almost invariantness within the limit \(T\) in time'' of tori constructed by the method. These tori fill up in the phase space an open set \(A\), say.

The advantages of harmonic-distortion minimization over traditional harmonic-elimination techniques

Proceedings of IEEE Power Electronics Specialist Conference - PESC '93, 2002
Conventional harmonic-elimination methods are compared with a recently proposed distortion minimization technique for AC-DC and DC-AC single-phase converters. The distortion-minimization technique eliminates certain chosen harmonics while minimizing harmonic distortion in rectifier input current or inverter output voltage.

Research on Selective Harmonic Elimination Technique based on Particle Swarm Optimization

IEEE Conference of Russian Young Researchers in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2019
Harmonic elimination of multilevel inverters is a complicated optimization issue involving constrained nonlinear transcendental equations with multiple solutions. A method to the selective harmonic elimination (SHE) technique by applying a particle swarm

Harmonic minimization in multilevel inverters using selective harmonic elimination PWM technique

2013 International Conference on Renewable Energy and Sustainable Energy (ICRESE), 2013
Generally the output voltage of the inverters must be sinusoidal. However the waveforms of practical inverters are non sinusoidal and contain certain harmonics. For low and medium power applications, square wave or quasi square wave may be acceptable but for high power applications, low distorted sinusoidal waveforms are required.

Harmonic Analysis for Induction Motor Drives and Optimal Harmonic Elimination Control

2005 International Conference on Electrical Machines and Systems, 2005
In this paper, the output voltage harmonics of three-phase voltage source inverter is investigated by simulation and experimentation. Several main factors which influence harmonics elimination also be discussed. In the precondition that inverter's hardware topological can't be transformed, a harmonic restrain method based on inverter output side ...

Eliminating harmonics problems caused by VFDs

2008 IEEE/PES Transmission and Distribution Conference and Exposition, 2008
Electrical distribution networks can experience low levels of harmonic distortion and higher efficiency when harmonic distortion is mitigated at its source. This requires solving for harmonic distortion at the facility level and more specifically at the loads which are the source for harmonics.
